The new owners of this home felt the entry, front façade and landscaping was lacking functionality and too informal for the traditional colonial architecture.

The addition of dormers to the main house, a formal entry portico and new clapboards and trim gave a fresh look and defined the front door. The garage massing was imbalanced as well. A carriage house style garage door, copper belt roof and shed dormer corrected the imbalance and provided a new functional space over the garage.

Finally, a bluestone entrance walkway and perimeter fencing were added to complete the transformation.
